Windscreen camera recalibration

If your vehicle has a camera behind the mirror, it usually needs recalibrating after a new windscreen.

What the camera does

The camera looks through the windscreen and runs safety features such as lane warnings and automatic braking.

If it’s slightly out of line after a windscreen change, those features can misread the road, so most manufacturers recommend recalibrating.

Before you bring the car in

  • Fill the fuel tank to at least three quarters.
  • Have the original size wheels fitted, with no lowered or raised suspension.
  • Take anything heavy out of the car. Trade vehicles can keep their usual gear on board.
  • Tell us about any modifications when you book.

How long it takes

Some vehicles need to stay for a full day, and a few models are done through the dealership. We’ll confirm when you book.

If a recalibration is ever faulty, we redo it free.
